NIGHTCLUB is rounding out the Summer Series with New York City.
We explore music from the “City That Never Sleeps” and the origins of Garage House, and the first underground dance parties.
New York has always been at the center of dance music culture in America, with its ever evolving club scene and over the top nightlife.
Let’s bring New York vibes to Saturn for a night of freedom, frivolity, amazing music and dancing.
A little History… Garage House was named after the legendary Paradise Garage nightclub in NYC, notable in the history of dance music, as well as LGBTQ+ and night clubbing culture, with the resident dj Larry Levan mixing Disco and soul into his own brand of Garage House music.
Another influential night club was The Loft, the location for the first underground dance party called "Love Saves the Day" organized by House legend David Mancuso.
